THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Door Info:
- The PNE has again agreed to have a more relaxed security for our event. You may bring a bag, umbrella, your own food if you have dietary restrictions, an empty reusable water bottle, etc.
- There will be bag searches at the door. Please do not bring alcohol, drugs or weapons to the venue.
- Weather forecast is calling for rain so please be prepared with an umbrella if you have to wait in line. Best idea, come early and avoid a line up! The party will be in full swing right at 5pm.
- The event is all ages from 5-8pm. If you need to duck out to take your children home, you need to be back in by 9pm. Otherwise, no ins and outs.
- There will be a designated self-check area for bags and coats. No coat racks so consider bringing a reusable shopping bag to store your belongings.
- Parking at the PNE is a little less than last year. It is $15.
- Note, there is also a concert at the PNE in another building so come early to avoid parking line ups.

Parents or caregivers bringing minors
- Please note that there is not specific children’s programming or censorship during the 5-8pm period. There are definitely activities like colouring, bead bracelet making, giant jenga, etc that are kid friendly.
- It is up to you to educate your young person or answer questions about any of the content at the event.
- Please remember to be respectful when it’s time to leave at 8pm. Don’t make our volunteers or security have to ask you to leave multiple times.
Food info
- 3 food trucks will be on site in the outdoor space serving from 6pm-11:30pm.
- There are vegan and gluten free options available. (Tornado Potato is completely vegan and gluten free)
- Food is for purchase by attendees.
- The PNE Bar will be selling pre-packaged items like chips and protein bars. See Dust app for details.
- If you have dietary restrictions, you are allowed to bring your own food.
Outdoor Space
- There will be art installations, fire show and food trucks outside.
- Dress for the weather. Forecast says rain!
- There will be 3 portos outside, one is a larger accessible porto
Accessibility
- If you are using a mobility device or cannot manage the stairs leading to the outdoor space, please notify security and they will open the roll door for you. It is quite a steep ramp, so you can also ask security to call one of our production team to assist you.
- There is a ramp into the building at the entrance to the event.
- There are accessible washrooms available inside the building. There will be signage.
- There will be one larger accessible porto in the outdoor space.
- We have worked on the sound issues that happened last year. There will be more quiet spaces and activity stations like beading and colouring set up if you need a little break from the dance floor.
- There is a first aid station located between the event entrance and the bar. If you need assistance, please check in there.
- There will be a Silent Rave Stage. You can pick up a headset and there will be a channel with soothing sounds. You will need to leave a piece of ID while you are using the headphones.
Consent and Care Culture
- There will be posters spread throughout the venue and in the bathrooms about what consent means. Please take a moment to read them if you are unfamiliar.
- Please ask before touching someone or coming into their space. This includes hugs! No means no. Unsure body language means no. Enthusiastic YES means YES!
- Be respectful and gracious if someone says they do not want to do what you have offered.
- If someone violates your consent, please notify one of our team leads (they will have radios!) or have security call one of us on radio to assist you.
- This is a community event and our 10 Principles apply. Help each other out, look out for one another, pick up garbage if you see it or notify someone if you spill a drink, etc.
